GABA from Thailand

The process of making GABA tea was first developed in Japan in the 1980s and has become increasingly popular in recent years due to the potential health benefits associated with high levels of GABA. It has a unique taste, with a slightly sweet and nutty flavor and a floral aroma.

How to Prepare GABA Oolong

  • Water temperature: 80-100 degrees Celsius.
  • Housewares: transparent, porcelain, or ceramic teapot/mug.
  • An amount of tea and volume: 1-2 tsp per 150 - 200 ml.
  • A number of brewings: 4-6.

  1. Place the tea leaves into the teapot and pour water into it.
  2. The first filling lasts a few seconds and the water must be drained, thus washing the tea leaves.
  3. Pour water into the teapot again.
  4. Leave the mixture for at least 45-60 seconds*.
  5. Drain the water out from a teapot and your tea is ready to serve.

* Increase the time of the next brewing for 10-20 seconds.
