How to Prepare Bael Fruit

Method 1: Brew as a tisane

  1. Boil clean or filtered water. It is recommended to use boiling water to brew the Bael fruit.
  2. Add 1-2 slices of dried Bael fruit into the teapot.
  3. Add enough boiling water to cover the slices of Bael fruit then drain straight away. This first water is to wash off the remaining dust and to stimulate the taste and aroma of Bael fruit.
  4. Then add around 300 ml / 8.4 oz of boiling water and leave for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Pour all the brewed tea from the kettle and drink immediately. It is not recommended to leave the brewed tea in the pot as the taste might be distorted.
  6. The dried Bael fruit can be repeatedly brewed 3-4 times but should not be used more than 1 day.
  7. The brewing time is flexible depending on your taste preference. The more time you brew the tea, the more intense taste you get.

Method 2: Brew as an herbal drink

  1. Thoroughly wash the slices of dried Bael fruit to get rid of all the remaining dust.
  2. Put 1 liter of clean or filtered water into the kettle. Then add about 5-8 slices of dried Bael fruit.
  3. Boil the water and leave for 3-5 minutes after the water has boiled.
  4. Filter the brewed drink. It can be served right away.
  5. The brewing time is flexible depending on your taste preference. The more time you brew the tea, the more intense taste you get.

**With these 2 methods, you can sweeten your drink with honey or mix with Stevia which will enhance its taste.

Enjoy your tea! Tea Village Team :).
